After Work::
So, you want to get a light work out in after work? We currently offer you three options to enjoy a evening on the river. Every Tuesday evening through the summer we offer guided Tuesday Evening Adventures of the Farmington River. On full moons we are offering our Full Moon Tour , and on the 3rd Friday of every month we offer our Starlight Tour a singles paddling trip. Below are descriptions of our evening tours.

Tuesday Evening Adventure::
We offer special discounted pricing on Tuesday nights. This special goes through September. The crew meets at Pleasant Street Park, Windsor behind Bart’s Deli @ 5:30. Next is a quick shuttle upstream to Strawberry Hills. Where you will receive basic paddling instructions from a Long River guide. From there you will paddle for 2 hours with the assured safety of having a guide close by to help you with your strokes and keeping the trip enjoyable with light hearted conversation. This summer we have naturalist Valerie Allgrove escorting the trips to help you identify foliage and such. We finish back at Pleasant Street Park by 8:00. Afterwards the gang heads over to a local eatery for some great company.

Rate: $25 Per Kayaker $20 per canoer

Moonlite Mingle:
How does that Harry Konnick Jr. song go? “A little bit of me and a whole lot of you, add a dash of starlight and a ride in a canoe” well, almost. Your evening starts with instructions from a knowledgeable guide. You will then be helped into your craft and escorted to a wonderful spot on the river for some wine, cheese and stargazing. The guide will then take the group down stream to the designated take out. There you will be taken back to you vehicle to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Full Moon Tour::
There is something about a full moon that brings out the adventure in people. To harness that sense of adventure LRA offers full moon guided tours of the Farmicut River. The evening begins at Pleasant Street Park in Windsor where you receive basic paddling training from your Long River Guide. From there you will paddle down the Farmington River into its confluence with the Connecticut River. Along the way we stop for a evening snack on one of the rivers many sandy beaches. After snack we will head down to Hartford. If you haven't seen the city from the river, well your in for a treat. We pull out on the East Hartford shore at Great River Park, where you will be shuttled up to your car.
